Nigeria @59. How well?
The question thereafter remains,
1: What has contributed to their epileptic development ?
2 :The Leaders or the lead ?
WHAT HAS HAPPENED SINCE 59 YEARS AGO
Corruption has grown enormously in variety, magnitude and brazenness since the beginning of the second Republic because it has been extravagantly fuelled by budgetary abuse and political patronage on an unprecedented scale.
The Issue of bad and Ineffective Leadership has been a big problem in the country, the citizens have taken everything to be Normal but we tend to forget that Normality is a paved road, it's comfortable to walk on but no flowers grow on it. Our rulers keep circulating themselves, families, and friends in seat while tribalism has been the order of the day where will these lead us to. In a country which is 59 years old, we still do not have good roads in many places in the country, power sector which has been privatized to make it stable has been a future Joke up to date
A Country like Ghana celebrated 10yrs of steady power supply whereas in Nigeria we still have the problem of having a steady power supply, the politicians in power has also left many projects inchoate. In the case of it's Youth, Nigeria has been a “Big shark" which swallows the dreams and future of it's youths, many youths with great potentials did not attain the greatness in them.
Education which is a vital key to success in Life is very expensive in the country, 13.2 million are the number of children are on the streets instead of in the classrooms, while about 350 Billion naira have been spent on Educational sector yet nothing to show for it. A country where the youths are struggling to survive who are now the said Leaders of tomorrow as the one's in power keep circulating themselves. Sadly , enough thousands of people in Nigeria still die of hunger and abject poverty, a country which is blessed with numerous mineral resources, millions of the Nigerian youths now seek for greener pastures in other countries. The rate of unemployment in the country is very
high leading our youths to engage themselves in all manners of online frauds for them to survive. Corruption has eaten deep in the Economy of the country, embezzlement of money government and private office's and the sharing of the National cake this boils down to what is the hope of Nigeria Looks forward. When one stays in office and doesn't become rich we see them as fools, but that's the downfall of our beloved country
Also ,low effectiveness of security has also been a problem in the country with the killings everywhere, mostly the killings between heardsmen and farmers. Despite the millions of naira spent on insecurity in the country, the government has failed to defeat Boko Haram. The lives of the citizens are still in Jeopardy, the
country is no more safe as the killings are rising on daily basis.I was speaking with a friend of mine who happened to be soldier he told me about when he went for peace keeping in the northern state he said that the gun they gave him was a gun babangida's regime gave out in 1979, where as the Boko Haram members were using better guns and were highly equipped. One begins to ask where all the money spent on security have been going to. As a good friend of mine will always say (Late Igwenagu Victor) something's are better Left unsaid. We all pray to wake up to a better Nigeria but who will make the country better, with our hands crossed and heads high Let's not forget what St Paul said that faith without work is dead, with all the eye watering situations happening in the country, We call on our Leaders and everyone to join hands to move the country forward. Let there be unity in our diversity, we say No to tribalism as One Nigeria will make us a great nation. I believe that at the end of every dark tunnel that there will be Light. Happy Independence day Nigeria but it's not a matter of “How far” but “How Well"
One suffering from elephantiasis do not engage in merrymaking.
God bless Nigeria🇳🇬

Nigeria @59. How well?
There is an adage that a fool at 40 is a fool forever ; Nigeria, a country blessed with over hundreds of mineral resources has failed to live up to expectation after gaining it's independence.
The question thereafter remains,
